Not to jump into your conversation, but I had the priveledge of knowing Gary Swancey and he was a good hearted well intentioned man. He wasn't perfect, and he had a few unpopular opinions, but he was a good soul and I truly miss reading his posts much the same as I would miss the contributions many of you make.
I also have known Frank/Oldblue online for many years and while he is definitely a character, he gets an undeserved bad rap from a few. He's a little like Columbo, hes crazy like a fox. He's a bit quick to attack sometimes, but hes also quick to defend those who deserve it. I enjoyed reading his rants and overall his contributions to the boards.
Its cool to think that online strangers can touch your lives in some small way. It's not always about the money.
