Yes, it was a penny stock I would say mostly in the 10 to 50 cent range for many years when many of us did most of our accumulating. After those initial years the company did a 15:1 reverse split to get on the AMEX and declined since to where it is now.
Tim Huff had no shortage of ideas that tied in company offered VOIP services from Point Of Sale (POS) terminals in stores using credit card type data bases maintained by the company, to global data communications via hovering Stratelites. He appeared to have the background and credentials to build a highly successful company with broad coverage of retail and commercial uses of the company's VOIP proprietary data comm network via fiber lines and Stratelite wireless.
I think Tim was very talented technically and had valuable vision but didn't have the skills to hire the right people, he way over promoted the company, and evidently gave in to wrongdoing.
The classic was a letter of intent or something like that with some supposedly well to do Russian businessmen that was for 600 million I believe. That caused the stock to shoot to around $4. Many saw that 'deal' as a sort of confirmation that things were coming together and bought boat loads of shares. That deal never materialized and started a series of law suits that then showed up considerable unethical/illegal activities done by him and I think also by others during his watch. Was too bad - I think he had some great ideas - and so did many others, many of whom are still here trying to recoup the losses.
It may finally happen now, and if it does I know Who I will credit and thank first. I've felt that the company was history several times, so if it succeeds will look like a true resurrection to me.
Trusting in Him,
Bill
