#23202 RE: gp100357 #23201

I started voting in the 1956 elections. I liked Ike, voted for him, and have voted against the Dimocrap in every election since then. In 1961 I joined the NRA. I could have gotten a lifetime membership for $100 then, but chose to renew every year since. Still do. If I had paid $100 then, it would have meant that the NRA would have lost money on me over the last 51 years. They didn't, I have to really pinch pennies now in my final few years, but I still am a member.
I've made quite a few mistakes in my life but they weren't political. And I served.
Life in the USA has deteriorated sadly in my lifetime, but I refuse to accept that it was due to me. It was due to "they". They didn't vote, they didn't pay NRA dues, they smoked a bit of dope, and they proudly gave the last election to the most unqualified man who ever ran. They still don't know why they shouldn't have. They might do it again. If I can crawl to the voting booth in November, once again I will vote against.
So I am a hardheaded old geezer. Too late to even think about changing.
