Par value has little or nothing to do with the share value - to state so demonstrates a lack of understanding of the markets, just as stating that MMs don't trade in small numbers to "manipulate" the price is a statement of ignorance (a claim by someone else).

Par value is simply the lowest price that the system can
accept, usually it goes to four decimal points = .0001

It has nothing to do with the common shareholder.

It means absolutely nothing regarding the value of the stock!
It can't go any lower.....

The only way the value gets lower is if the company pulls
a R/S

OH WAIT MARK JUST DID THAT, BUT IT'S OK BECAUSE IT'S
FOR OUR OWN GOOD!

I wish I lived closer to the company, my neighbor's little
child is probably the devils spon...he runs up to people
and kicks them for no reason.

I'd love to have him meet mark!

On December 4, 2009, Ford (F) issued 1,000,000,000,000 shares of common stock at .01 par value. F was trading that day at $9.04. Par has nothing to do with current trading value.
