Jeffrey: The wording in the SEC filing that announced the Apple license was "certain future mobile phones, if any.", NOT ""certain future devices".

"Under the seven-year license agreement, effective June 29, 2007, InterDigital granted a license to Apple under InterDigital's patent portfolio covering the current iPhone(TM) and certain future mobile phones, if any."

Most licenses use the overall term "devices"; but in this instance the announcement, which was very specific in using the term " future mobile phones", would indicate that Apple's iPad is not covered,
