ANNAPOLIS JUNCTION, Md.--Promark Technology, a premier Value Added Distributor with a core focus on data storage and document imaging products and solutions, announced today that it has purchased the assets and naming rights of Niksar Data Management, LLC. Niksar, a Maryland corporation founded in 2006, has a focus on providing professional services for data storage and networking. Niksar offers storage implementations, application integration, backup and recovery design and implementation, disaster recovery planning, network optimization, data migration and on-site training services to both resellers and end users for solutions including HP, VMWare, Compellent, Dell (EqualLogic), Nexsan and ExaGrid. Promark will establish the Niksar Professional Services (NPS) division to provide professional service offerings to its reseller and system integrator channel. The newly formed division will be headed by Niksar’s President Gaurang Mehta who will become Vice President of the NPS division."The acquisition of Niksar Data by Promark represents a great opportunity for us to expand our professional services offerings to a wider array of customers, resellers, and vendors," said Gaurang Mehta, President of Niksar.
