re: There you go, Threejack - spouting off about religion again

Hey Skeptic,

Hahaha. Never confuse God with religion, young man.

re: I'm hoping for some good news from VA today.

Me, too, but I can't predict His Nibs' behavior so I can't trust the man. How he handles today's hearing will tell us a lot about the Samsung litigation timeline. Like you, not selling regardless of what he does.

re: It looks like PCI will be the next battleground once the RAM lawsuits get sorted out.

Looks to me like Rambus is succeeding nicely in signing RaSer-related licenses, and I don't expect any serious challenges in this area. Rambus didn't invent PCIe, its IP only enhances it, so the royalties must be a fraction of the royalties they charge for their memory products, I imagine. You are probably right, though. There may be firms infringing Rambus's PCIe patents now and Rambus will be forced to pursue litigation as an ongoing business necessity.

re: I'd really like to know exactly what is covered by the Intel-Rambus agreement.

Yep. Never really understood the range and particulars of their agreement. No transparency.

re: Oh well - a nugget of further collaboration with Intel at IDF would be a "god-send". I "pray" that Payne discontinues his "crusade" against the Bus and that the "legions of the damned" (MM lawyers) are unsuccessful in their unholy quest to vilify our "martyrs" (Rambus engineers - not mgmt - those money-grubbers). Should our "saints" prevail and the treasures of "heaven" unfold, I will begin my "mecca" to the holy land of Cabo to pay homage.

Amen, my brother. Will enjoy your "benediction" the rest of the day : )
