I think the "national" part means that the Q can deal with any of the COX carriers located throughout the nation and make their pitch to get those individual carriers to carry the Q. Similar to Time Warner. The Q, at this time, is on TW Maine but it is on none of the other TW areas. However, I believe that under the hunting license with TW, it can attempt to persuade those other TW carriers (for example, TW NY) to carry the Q. Apparently, you have to go through the entity itself before you can deal with the individual local carriers in each market.

All,

I sent an email to the Public Affairs Department at Cox and received the following....

Some facts about our signed agreement with QTN:



QTN is not currently available in any Cox market
It has been made available to Cox’s locally managed systems who will decide whether or not to offer the programming in the specific markets
If a Cox cable system chooses to offer it to its customers, it will be available as a subscription service (much like Showtime or Starz) for an additional monthly charge
