invnewbie -- pretty simple. It's a "marker" (kinda like at the casino). It has no real money value... It does, in this case, represent "something, maybe" in the future.
It's not expected that you can 'trade' it like a security. Only in the death of the holder could it move to somewhere else.
Over time (up to 6 years) as the Liquidation/Litigation trust brings in more monies -- first all the "creditors" who didn't get paid in full already {there was only so much cash available} -- they get paid little-by-little as more monies come in from the Liquidation/Litigation trust.
Then, and only then, once they are all paid off... Do "we" Equity see any overflow.
So you have a "tracking" marker -- for that future time, if it occurs.
