Ok since you edited your post I'll quickly have to re-edit my response as follows>>>

So why hasn't dave when asked for such a simple yes or no answer simply replied and why didn't eric's blog specifically state that neither of them had ever received any form of compensation for any of their time/effort?

eric and dave never have any problem providing clarity on any other subject for the most part...hence the silliness for none of them wanting to provide the simple answer now.

And if they have ever received any form of compensation for any of their time/effort just say so as it's all a matter of what constitutes an unbiased or objective opinion...'cause if posters are getting compensated by penny co's for any services they provide then readers deserve to know it so they can better gauge their views expressed wouldn't you agree?

And the reason I'm only quoting the "and any other legitimate expenses" part is because that's the only part that could leave room for compensation for time/effort if the 3 of them deem time/effort a legitimate expense.
