I did not say that the market did not need some cleaning. I just question his method and the results. Sure there were some abusers, but killing all companies to get to some is not the brightest move. It would have been much better to expose those crooked underwriters rather than murder the little guys. When you kill the little guys, they lose interest which in turn allows the real wrongdoers to get off lightly. His job was to maintain the economy, not kill it. The SEC and the Justice Department are the people who should handle the crooked underwriters and companies with conflicts of interest. These people are still in business and the little guy is broke.
