#3136 RE: Traderfan #3135

Traderfan said: "Nobody can tell me that he got 4 times a fixed date from Kemetco and 4 times after that the delay. That's ridiculous."

I'm telling you that is EXACTLY what has happened. Unless of course you want to stick your head in the sand and pretend that up is down, and down is up? Read the News Releases for yourself. And YES, I do indeed blame the CEO/President, Larry Reaugh, for not demanding accountability from Tetra Tech. He should've instituted some kind of monetary penalty from Tetra Tech after the first delay. That's just common sense from Business 101 at the High School level. There is a difference of having mining experience (which Larry has)...and executive experience (which he is lacking).

Artillery Peak Environmental and Permitting Contract Awarded

Mr. Larry Reaugh, President and Chief Executive Officer of American Manganese Inc. (“American Manganese” or the “Company”), (TSX.V: AMY; Pink Sheets: AMYZF), is pleased to announce that the Tucson, Arizona office of Tetra Tech, Inc. has been awarded the contract to provide environmental and regulatory permitting consulting services to advance the Artillery Peak Manganese Project. “I am delighted to add such a well respected contractor to the project development team” said Mr. Reaugh. He goes on to say: “We are also anticipating a seamless interface with the Vancouver office of Wardrop, a Tetra Tech Company (Wardrop), to achieve a fully integrated preliminary feasibility study which can be used as the mine plan of operations for regulatory permitting purposes. We believe that the overall effect will be to streamline the project engineering and development process, thereby expediting the preparation and submission of the documentation required for regulatory review.” As announced previously, the preliminary feasibility study is scheduled for completion toward the end of the 3rd quarter 2011; while the regulatory approvals process is forecast to take between 18 and 24 months.

Artillery Peak Preliminary Feasibility Study Awarded to Wardrop
Added January 14th, 2011 – Vancouver, British Columbia

Mr. Larry Reaugh, President and Chief Executive Officer of American Manganese Inc. (“American Manganese” or the “Company”), (TSX.V: AMY; Pink Sheets: AMYZF), is pleased to announce that Wardrop, A Tetra Tech Company (Wardrop), has been commissioned to conduct a NI43-101 compliant preliminary feasibility study for the Company’s Artillery Peak Manganese Project located in Mojave County, Arizona.

The preliminary assessment announced on August 9, 2010 showed that the conceptual project should be economically robust and could potentially become the worlds lowest cost producer of electrolytic manganese metal. Since then the Company has completed additional drilling and revised its NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate so that the Artillery Peak Manganese deposit is now estimated to contain an indicated resource of about 92.8 million tonnes grading 3.27% Mn (6.7 billion lbs contain Mn), and an inferred resource of about 107.2 million tonnes grading 3.76% Mn (8.9 billion lbs contained Mn).

“The preliminary feasibility study represents a major milestone in the project development process for Artillery Peak” says Mr. Reaugh. He goes on to say, “Wardrop will be intimately involved in the execution of the previously announced hydro-metallurgical pilot plant program so that the study can be completed by the 4th quarter of 2011.

I expect that AMY's "management team" (which reminds me more of a convalescent home for the elderly) will be announcing a News Release next week that the Prefeasibility Report will be delayed yet again until next month...or will it be the following month?

Heck, at this rate Tetra Tech can keep putting us at the end of the line because they know Larry won't demand accountability of them by placing monetary penalties for failed commitments.

Like I said, Larry's got plenty of mining experience; but very little executive experience. And to top it all off, Larry and his aging staff - which especially includes their IR person, Connie - are receiving salaries that are grossly above the standard of most exploration companies. As shareholders, we should be complaining to the Board of Directors to at least re-evaluate their salaries to at least match those of other exploration companies.
