The last bullshit pink I got screwed on, the SEC came into play, took the CEO to court and won the case against him. He was banned from any related securities trading or affiliation and fined several hundred thousand dollars in fines. The SEC got the paid fines and shareholders got nothing but the satisfaction that he was caught. No jail time, no redemption to shareholders. The SEC got a nice bunch of money in fines.
