IMO this is not true. Nokia only gets free usage of TDD patents that were jointly developed by IDCC and Nokia. Also IDCC retains ownership of what was developed. Any TDD that IDCC developed on their own Nokia would have to license.

This is true but only for the USA.
I have for a very long time said publicly and privately that if Nokia had a worldwide agreement with IDCC and ERICY won in court that Nokia would look like fools to their investors for paying IDCC while ERICY isn't.
This ERICY litigation IMO has no bearing on whats going to happen in the rest of the world regarding 2-G as well as 3-G.
