What if there are no deals in the works. I would summarize the interest level of generation 1 products like this: Kim was planning to commercialize monster silk with Joe Noel. I frequently get attacked for saying this. But it is true, Kim admitted this to me over the phone, and noel on his blog. the exact details of that failed plan I do not know.
There is no longer an excuse. Kim has pr'd the commercial agreement with ND. Said they are capable to ramp up (may 31 2011). There is absolutely no more reasons to excuse kim for the lack of commercialization. If there was an interested party..... interested enough.... then there would be PRs.
However, months and months have gone by.
Monster silk can only be obtained by getting it from KBLB..... it is the holy grail claimed by some.... weren't they supposed to snatch it up quick? why is Kim talking about buying his own company instead? saying sales might be realized later this year. why not now?
The lack of answers given by kim could be a sign that he has only bad news to report and as he want to maintain his Share price.
There is always a possibility that "deals" could be announced any day. But like I said, with Kim talking about commercializing it himself, it just does not appear to be going very well.
