Your guess is as good as mine. I think this arena is so manipulated to begin with so its anything goes. However the stock held strong. Many aren't budging
I know a retired guy who worked for a mm - need to ask him if in the pinks an mm can lump buys-to-cover together and record them as one transaction - that is what it looked like to me, if my theory is correct the buys-to-cover would have to be listed before market close. Of course it could have been just one transaction, but that would surprise me. A dump of that many shares would most certainly have meant a significant drop in the share price, so what we saw is not consistent with someone just closing a position.
