Titlewave, I don't see MS bundling WEM to be in the cards -- ever -- for a host of reasons. But Dell, Acer, Samsung, HP, etc.? Yeah, that could happen.

Cheers,

Hi title,

I don't think that's likely. TC will likely be an option in Windows 8, and Wave a TC option.

"Hardware-based security is one of the best methods".

The fact that MS is extending the reach of TC within Windows 8 is good news. Compatibility issues probably taken care of. But Wave still has to sell to a client base.

PKI,

Tpm's & ARM's trustzone... in order for all devices to inter-operate keys must be move, managed & stored securely. Transactions must occur in a trusted execution environment. Device users must securely identify themselves to their machine & their machines must be virus & malware free(when identifying & gaining access to a network server). The NSA had only to look at Papa Ginos Pizza to see how this could have all been accomplished three years ago without all the loss of gov't secrets going into enemy hands!! SS has lectured to all who would listen for years about this already existing solution with little or no response! But now it will all come true with the green light from Microsoft!!! The paradigm shift begins now, it's going to finally be fun. Hopefully George Gilder will finally pronounce that the slog is officially over!! Wave has earned the cat birds' seat for our little yovage. Cap't Weby set sail for Vegas or at least get the camels ready!!
