I spoke to an employee of JPM, who's a customer of mine, and he said that it's no surprise they finally got wamu, after his term of employment at JPM ended. He said they had been VERY interested in acquiring wamu for years and wamu turned down every offer. Well, they must have a nice relationship with the FDIC, and together they got what they wanted.
