Dear Jas,

Without 800-155 finalization & hardware/TPM recommened as the preferred solution, maybe HP is using a software based BIOS integrity measurement solution. Let's see what develops when 800-155 is completed! Until then, I'll just hope that this was Wave's WEM product, we'll see!!

internet,

Many corporations and agencies use VDI as their preferred method of delivering IT services.

The thin clients are stripped down dumb terminals that are monitors and a key board. There is no local storage at the end point. The end point is accessing a desk top virtualized image held on a server protected by a firewall. There can be 1000's of such end points in the corporation.

This is the first time (thanks awk) I've seen a thin client have the BIOS and TPM on board.

As we know as long as the end point caries a hardware root of trust such as the TPM and the unit stores the boot measurements in the TPM then the customer can use Wave's End Point Monitor product to attest that those end points booted in a secure measured way and those endpoints are known and trusted and can gain further access according to policy in the server.

My understanding and opinions welcomed.
