Isn't the point that some language of Vista could allow for the posssibility that Vista subsumes key management (backup, recovery, migration) which would meaningfully if not completely undermine the $50 per seat Wave was hoping to pull for such services.
It would be fully consistant with the MSFT M.O., and something critics have been saying for some time.
Do the 85 people at Wave have more talent than the tens of thousands in Redmond?
Has Gates ever walked away from a major rev opp particularly as it pertains to being a central player?
Is barge right and the world won't allow Gates to do this?
Its thepoint that has always made me uneasy. I've always wanted to see more patens come out of Lee to put a stamp on this space. Its a matter of reasonable concern. It is why, doma, my rev projections do not include life cycle management, Vista appears to say it is going to do it. SKiSS *DID* say such things will end up in the OS.
