I'm assuming you are looking at level one streaming quotes. The bid/ask are the total number of shares on each side. If you hold shares, the ticker symbol change will be done for you by your broker. Call or online chat with them to see if a symbol change falls under any "reorganization fee" listings. I use TD Ameritrade for my retirement and Fidelity and Scottrade for my primary.
