Dont you think that is the plan. The equipment probally cost 500k plus not including shipping. So if SGCP just sits back and watches they will be in a better position to adjust their plan. If ARDC hits the quota SGCP can build what ARDC has done into their other areas by using the funds from ARDC.

The new JV will not have many of the expenses that SGCP has so I do expect it to be profitable and for some of it to come to us.
(concession fees, licences, and the whole ag and CC business for starters)

As far as equipment goes there were reasons SGCP has the equipment it currently uses, cash available, size, access roads/paths and characteristics of the concessions all are part of it.

Without knowing location the characteristics of the JV site in detail we cannot really asses whether we could process it ourselves with our equipment. The new gear ADRC talked about (50 ton alluvial processor) is geared to dry deposit processing not the river dredging we have been doing.

There has been a lot of progress in modernizing gold "mining" equipment recently, thanks in no small part to Discovery channel!

I hope they get started soon and we can both gain from their success and learn as to whether to use the cash we get to buy new gear for next season.

The more I think about it the more upside there is.

you have no clue on the equipment he is planning on using,

I suggest you leave these posts off SGCP and call John to discuss his other business plan. the process and equipment and the plan of action is completely different than what SGCP is doing, and don't even think that SGCP needs to change their plan to do the same thing. the JV is a plan and an agreement but it even is not proven. so until we actually see the numbers come out of it as reported by SGCP as the JV is private so you won't see those numbers from them.

all good plans and needed support, but the SGCP plan is moving forward and is showing stronger support all the time.
