really :)
awesome ...well copy and paste then !

If you borrow on margin your brokerage can allow others to borrow your shares. This is 100% fact, ask your brokerage.

The way to circumvent this problem is by putting your shares at a high ASK for sale.

My shares are at 50 cents.

I suggest everyone else do the same.

Keep circulating this message.

Let's squeeze the shorters into submission. As we are clearly doing at this time.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how does putting a high ask on the shares keep them from being able to short your shares?

Re: Lending shares

Margin (not cash) account ... lending shares to short ... 100% fact, ask your brokerage.

True.

Not true. According to a TDA rep, this is a myth. They'll still borrow your shares and replace them without you knowing it.

I think this is repeated so much on the boards because it makes investors feel that they're doing something.

The only way to lock your shares is to put the paper certs in your sock drawer (impractical) or request a Loan Exempt Restriction from your broker.

Here's a little, real-life drama involving shares borrowed from an eTrade account. Note the Shrt/Cvr notation in the screen cap. You might have to follow the thread to put it into context.
