yeah, makes sense, but my question really was what about all the open orders between "now" and the buyout price?

Lots of people would simply miss the news because they were away from their computer or at work or something, so what you're saying is that for all those people who don't have a chance to pull their orders, they would get taken out at their order price of 20 or 30 cents or whatever and unknowingly leave a bunch of cash on the table, right?
