Yes. According to their latest financials, they made a profit of $1 billion in 2011 on revenue of $3.7 billion. They have been profitable since 2009.

Comparing Wave to any of the three companies mentioned on any metric would not result in a positive for Wave. They are not good fits for comparison.

Google was profitable every year since 2001 2 years after incorporation so your analogy to Wave is lost.
4 years after incorporation Amazon made a profit on 1 BILLION dollars in 2001?

So let's say Wave started in 2008 it should have been profitable by now using the Amazon slow growth methodology.
