Security Subsystem The security subsystem provides hardware support for the DRM Plugin. Only this unique combination of hardware and software can provide a good media security. The hardware part of the DRM subsystem is composed of two chips: the TPM (Trusted Processing Module) from Atmel and an FPGA-based decryption accelerator. The TPM allows for verification of hardware and software authenticity, while the accelerator provides the necessary power for strong encryption. Since the accelerator is FPGA-based, it is possible to change the encryption algorithm by reprogramming the FPGA.
barge....Thanks for digging up this former PR. After reading Sheldon L.'s posts last nite & then Atmel today, I sure do have a good feeling about Wave....lol. My personal situation has been so precarious & put me in a corner where I have to depend on Wave, not really the way I wanted it to turn out. Now the bashers look rather pathetic to me as opposed to just being irritating. There will always be traders that make a good living off these penny moves so today I'm not rich yet but I really see Wave's foundation starting to gel into something massive. Won't the next few CCs be SOMETHING. I am very grateful to Wave management for their spectacular behind-the-scenes negotiating with the global giants. Our BOD & management are the GREATEST...IMO
