The difference is that Wave's latest model puts the stock one step closer to the market. And the fact Wave has placed it there is an indication of serious intent. I think it would be naive to argue that Wave has no plan to sell stock in these circumstances regardless of any assurances via the crack pipe. Surely no one thinks the company would have taken this step without having discussed the likelihood of a need. And the availability represents a clear overhang against existing shares.

At some point, the little pitter-patter steps taken down the road from simple share authorisation towards an actual stock sale represent a journey. Of course until the company actually sells the shares, the destination hasn't quite been reached.

For myself, I assume the dilution. I'm wondering what opportunity makes the dilution worthwhile. $20m is more than they need to get through the next several quarters.
