There appear to be a lot of shareholders that can't get their broker to engage. I agree with you that anyone who 'blindly' sends their ballot to a broker could well be in trouble. I also agree that the ballot MUST go back through a broker ( I don't like it one bit, but nobody cares, live with it). But KCC can issue you with information and a ballot sheet. As long as you understand that you can't return that sheet to a broker and expect them to know what to do with it, and you can't return it directly to KCC. IMO, having this info from KCC is a useful starting point for discussion with your broker. The fun starts when you try to get it from the broker back to KCC. I still haven't resolved my own situation, but i'm getting there.
IMHO
