#21289 RE: hogger #21286

Hogger: Other companies are already starting to come out with DNA vaccines for animals and fish. See my previous post about the DNA Vaccine for farm raised salmon that Vical will be selling in Canada. I'm sure it will be a nice niche market. AVGI wants our DNA for shrimp farms. Why can't we sell it to them and garner some revenue. Why are we paying lawyers to fight a potential customer? I don't know what has me more frustrated, the option plan or the management's litigation-related stupidity. AVGI wants our DNA for use on horses. The Wyeth subsidiary (Fort Dodge Animal Health) is selling a DNA vaccine for West Nile for horses. I'm sure the product will make money. It might not make a fortune, but as my father used to say...every dollar you earn is a good dollar. Why the reluctance to bury the hatchet with AVGI? They are a potential customer, we could be making money from our relationship with them instead of spending more money we don't have for lawyers. When other potential customers see how CYGX gets in to litigation with the people it contracts with, why would they want the potential headache of dealing with us? Are we going to appeal the AVGI case because we can't supply the plasmids according to the judgement? You are down there and are privy to a lot more information about the AVGI litigation than most of us on this board. What does Malcolm hope to achieve by continuing this fight? Your insights are welcome.
