The financial statements indicate that only gold sales generated revenue, so PDI related sales have not occurred. I believe PTQ's stated plan is to transfer the big mining trucks and some other equipment to PDI in the spin-off along with the related lease expense. This will reduce future PTQ lease expense which should help PTQs bottom line somewhat. PTQ is not projecting PDI activities in future earnings forecasts so the PDI spin-off should have no effect on PTQ SP.

Good question. I think the board is roughly split on that issue. I think it will depend how large of a slice of the Cobre Panama pie PDI is cut. With a 30 year mine life, that's plenty of time to accrue revenue from mining and infrastructure.

On the other hand, PTQ's Iberian assets and potential acquisitions/partnerships we haven't even heard about yet (I'd be astonished if they don't have one or more in the works) could make PTQ a respectable player in the mining world.

Personally, I'm happy to own a piece of my little gold mine in the jungle and focus on that. If PDI turns out to be some mega cash cow ... even better.

Badge, just like you I am a bit “under water” but $.o8 average increase per month will push stock to $ 1.50-sh by end of the year and that would give most people on this board anywhere between 50% and 100% profit. IMO.
Ponce, I have been doing some reading about spin-offs , what I learn is that shareholders of 90% companies which went through that process were much better off after then before. And 70% companies did significantly increased their shareholders value.
What important to understand is combine value. I am truly convinced that COMBINE VALUE of PTQ and PDI will be extremely beneficial for current shareholders in a years to come. That is why I think it is important to accumulate your shares now before March .
