The booth at an Expo is a first step for a company to go public with their products. This Expo, which I have attended, can be a launching point for many start-up companies. It costs 10's of thousands of dollars to exhibit at one of these shows. Even if they are a bogus company looking to spread PR, it's awfully expensive to do so, more so than paying the pumpers. This would lend some validity to their product line, if they even have one.
