As a follow up, there is an old saying that getting a jury verdict is 1/3 of the battle and holding it is the other 2/3's in federal court. Positive verdicts are great, but they really mean nothing until the judgment is signed . The judgment may immediately be in play and bonds are at issue to prevent execution. There is no execution on the jury verdict because the federal judge can take it away in the stroke of a pen. F&J is still squirming over Harris and frankly I am too. I am hoping for finality soon.
