1st, i tend to think TCG's trying to side-step any fall-out similar to Intel's debacle with it's intro of ID chips ... 'cause, clearly, TPM are exactly that and more.

so, i don't think they're (i.e., TCG proponants) interested in stirring the pot any more than's necessary ...... they'll just get 10s, then 100s of millions of TPMs in the field, and voila, look how much easier these make your life!!!!
