Great DD. Thanks for bringing up the Bardot. As you already know, light scattering methods are the new technology as much research is ongoing on many fronts. Competitiveness will be accuracy and speed of tests, AOAC certifications, price, size, library and more. Just let me say this: The market for this new technology is so huge that it would take a lot of time to fill. MMTC has a big load in getting this technology out to food companies. As such, we welcome all competition as this new market unfolds. The Bardot is the only project and is not being sold as yet. The machine is still in experimental stage and is not affiliated with any stock market.

Sure sounds like they better hurry lol....we are just about ready to roll out. They have a long ways to go yet.

The technology is used to detect pathogens in foods and could replace the need to have a biochemist on-site to conduct tests of samples at a meatpacking plant, for example, Rubin said.

The company plans to use the private funding to further development of its BARDOT (Bacteria Rapid Detection using Optical Scattering Technology)

Advanced BioImaging has raised about $2.5 million since its inception in 2008
