Competition will always be there...nature of all great things...
As a former nutrition/food science student, I have a decent grasp of the potential here...I have performed all these tests using various methodologies, and let me say that this is a novel idea in this field, but not in general...light scattering techniques are used in many areas of science down to the molecular level...the key will be who holds which patents first, and which product gets to the market first, especially when referencing a public stock whose main gains will be made within those first few critical years when growth is exponential...I have put some feelers out to professors to see what they are hearing, if anything, on the product and/or technology in general...
That being said, and after speaking with the company, there will be dilution here at some point...my guess is through convertible notes as has been common here in the past...(hint...raise to 2.5B A/S ha ha)...that doesn't mean this won't run or turn into a great stock, and the ultimate goal seems to be a R/S at some point to obtain listing on the highest of exchanges, which I feel is a great idea should this product really take off...
First thing is first...let us get approval for E.coli and Salmonella (won't be a problem IMO)...all documentation submitted and shouldn't be more than a few months before we get approval...then, all our back-orders already in place turn into instant revs, not to mention all those waiting for approval to place purchases...with E.coli and Salmonella approval, and with competing tech a few years behind patent and approval-wise, MMTC can grab a nice chunk of this market, potentially turning into a billion dollar company someday if they expand to other things like water/medicine/etc....
Anyways, my one and only rant for a while...not purchasing at the moment as I would like to get a better idea of dilution coming down the line...I know we have a couple big fish on the hook for a private placement of some sort, so we will see what comes of that...hoping we remain sideways or drop to lower support levels personally, but that is b/c I don't own any yet :-)
Looking like a good mid-term play if you can grab some dips...
