Prudent I would caution. By SEC/trading rules, the only volume the MMs are REQUIRED to show is normal market orders. If the order is placed as a limit or has other qualifiers on it (AON, etc) they are not required to show that volume on Level II. Confirmed this with a few brokers. Simply, while I agree with you volume is thin on the ask to a certain point, it is not as thin as it may appear....Best of luck!
