Yep. The NIST memo presumably refers to all of government plus any enterprises which are bound to adhere to government restrictions. I think the mandate memo referred only to the DoD and as you say, most or all deployed DoD pcs probably have a TPM by now.

Not sure which delays you think I am suggesting. Don't remember suggesting a delay re the UK and Israeli ministries of defence, but maybe I have forgotten it.

Are you referring to my discussion of mobile phones?

Re NATO - agreed, though I still think there will be a vanguard. The Israelis will be upfront due to rising tensions with Iran.

Was it really all DoD? I thought it was only a branch or two that required TPM's? Please advise source for my reference. Thanks.


EDIT: Also, NIST cites "roots-of trust" for BIOS, correct, not necessarily a TPM? As cited, I believe there are varying methods to supply an alleged root-of-trust.
