Seek,

"Where is TOTAL's interest in the unified JDZ coming from?????"

From June 14th, 2010:

"Regarding commerciality, the expectation has always been that the JDZ Blocks would be developed as a field, so the findings from any one well may not be as important as the findings across the entire area. Therefore, the determination of commerciality doesn’t only analyze the drilling that has been done to date, but the operators’ assessment of the likelihood of success in the future and all the economic factors that contribute to a commercially viable development, including infrastructure costs, prices for the resources, etc.

Regarding drilling depths, think of it as a very expensive investigation. if they had any indication that continuing to drill would add to their understanding of the resources in the prospect/well and provide information that could guide future drilling decisions, they would go deeper. If they believed that going deeper would not add to their understanding they would not. You do not continue drilling at $600,000 per day if everything suggests that you’ve learned all you are going to learn from that well. "

Sincerely,

Daniel Keeney, APR

You are thinking the wait re: JDZ drilling is causing the EEZ holdup?
I thought these were in 2 separate geologic zones so I don't see how drilling results would be applicable to the EEZ.

I can see all of the JDZ being held in suspense until Blk 1 results come in and Total decides if they do indeed have a large area find to develop JDZ in toto but not seeing the connection right off to the EEZ.

Seek do you think an offer to Offor will be made prior to drilling in the EEZ. Or will the offer just be to sell in JDZ and ERHC keeps EEZ and Chad?

Do you know if most of the smaller, indigines co. that had held % in JDZ blks 1-4 have folded or have been bought out. This was always an issue with the lack of information or disinformation.

I hope you are wrong, again. I'd be very disappointed to be bought out at 10 cents, or some small premium over that.

I can't imagine why that would happen, unless we were being bought out by another entity controlled by SEO, or whomever his partners may be.

Having ERHC gives them the opportunity to raise money via the markets, this appears to be the plan at the present. With some proven and thus thus more money to develop the EEZ, and buy up more assets, they can grow value far in excess of whatever is proven in the 3 lightly explored JDZ blocks.

But anything is possible I suppose. We are not guaranteed a happy ending so I suppose your scenario is one possible result.
