gabeh, I'm sorry you still can't comprehend the point I'm trying to make. Let me spell it out for you one more time...
The leaks that these Asian sources are giving to DR, who might be HTC or Huawei, are not saying the process is failing overall, it's just failing for THEM.
If HTC and Huawei are interested in IDCC, but have not been invited to join a consortium, or have not been contacted by IDCC to continue progress, then in HTC/Huawei's mind, the process is QUIET and NOT progressing for THEM...understand??? This is the point I made in the initial post you responded to, and I have to spell it out for you a second time.
Even if HTC or other companies in the bidding room were leaking negative info, what it comes down to is Apple doesn't want Google and the Android supply chain, ie Samsung, Intel, and HTC to get any stronger, so if HTC is saying the process is failing, and Google/Intel are still interested in IDCC, it doesn't really matter what HTC says, Apple is still most likely going to pay whatever it takes to prevent Google/Android from getting stronger in the smartphone space, hence which is why Nortel sold for 5X the initial bid Google put up.
Again, I highly doubt all the parties that initially bid for IDCC in Sept are all going to join a consortium with other companies, there's going to be companies that did not get invited to 2nd round or not able to join a consortia, and those companies are most likely Asian companies, and those Asian companies are most likely DR's sources, I highly doubt Apple and Google/Intel are leaking info to DR.
Again, go back to trading penny stocks if this is over your head
