Might be interested in contrasting this one with Pi. I turned that on once halfway through, grainy overcontrasted B&W, guy smashing his head against a mirror and screaming and picking what looked like earwax out of a connector. I watched it again from the beginning and really got into it though everyone else left the room.
double yikes....i am sorry that you hated this one, but i enjoyed it. i gave it a 3.3 out of 4.....but i thought the acting was superb, so did most critics. you have to keep in mind what Bale went through for this role. please read my review, we definitely saw this one different. in my review you will even see that i said some will love this and some will hate this.
even head over to rotten and see some of the critics reactions...it was well received. but again, definitely not for some. i will agree about the ending, but not really knowing exactly what transpired that year or so ago.
requiem was a great movie indeed, and i was slightly reminded of that one as well.
