We know from experience that when we moved from a public board to a private board (on RB) the problem ended.
I agree that there was a certain feel of security with the club.
I think it was a hasty and poor idea to move here. There was a problem with long posts being cut off for a day or two, so jimlur jumped ship.
Do you know how long Jim wrestled with this move? Far from being hasty my friend.
We lost the ignore feature. We lost the ability to post more than 18 times, maybe fewer if you change that rule. We lost the ability for jimlur to police the thread effectively. We lost spell check too.
Not only does ignore work very well here, the ability to ignore those posts that respond to the ignored person disappear too! It's been great to have those that clutter the board with old news and those that for eternity have been hurting average investors with BUY ratings when the stock has been dropping gone from MY board.
Jim also now has helpers that can police the thread, thus taking a bit of pressure off him personally....and the support fromBob and Matt has been great.
There's been a ton of crap posted here the last couple of days that never would have been on the RB club. Longtime, valuable posters have resorted to name calling and swearing. That is the true measure of your success with this group. It is not how many memberships are paid or anything else.
Yup....lots of crap posted. I'm giving it a bit of time to calm down, and I now have a powerful ignore feature for those that continue.
