#342025 RE: Large Green #341998

I have no specific knowledge on the question, but it applies not only to the BK but also to two adversary proceedings by JPM and a civil suit by JPM against WMI and FDIC-R.

If I read it right, it's to stay just the civil and adversary proceedings - because I don't know how he could stay the BK if it's not in his court, (and, obviously, we continued the BK case anyway), so I don't know why that's listed other than for informational purposes?

Here is the motion in question that was granted by the order you referred to: http://www.ghostofwamu.com/documents/09-00615/09-00615-0046.pdf . In a nutshell, it says, "we have a GSA in place that settles these cases, and we have a Plan of Reorganization that's good enough for us... so we're not going to throw effort at these cases at the same time. Please stay those other cases for now." Now that the order to stay has expired, I would imagine that they would file another motion to continue the stay, but that's a shot in the dark from me... who knows what's next for those ancillary appeals and suits.

The items referenced as "stayed":

-A web of several different adversary proceedings that were brought up by FDIC-R and JPM. They made motions to dismiss the adversary proceedings against one another, which were denied. This is an appeal (I think by both? it gets really confusing really fast with all these separate appeals all referencing each other...) http://www.ghostofwamu.com/CaseHeader/09-00615Header.htm

-JPM appeal re: order denying motion to dismiss (Debtor filed counterclaims against JPM, JPM made a motion to dismiss those counterclaims, and an order was entered by Walrath denying the motion. This is the appeal to reconsider that order.) http://www.ghostofwamu.com/CaseHeader/09-00734Header.htm

-JPM suing to disallow WMI from filing adversary action against JPM. http://www.ghostofwamu.com/CaseHeader/09-00656Header.htm
