I believe the name change will have a positive impact. Some of the other issues you layed out are all probably true, but $1 - just seems like dreaming.

(Reuters) - Volkswagen (VOWG.DE) briefly became the world's biggest company by market value on Tuesday, as short sellers caught betting on a price drop with borrowed stock scrambled to find shares after a buying spree by Porsche (PSHG_p.DE).

When short sellers are caught off guard, regardless of the reason, and they are left SCRAMBLING to try and find shares... then a MOASS is very possible.

It will be interesting to see. I know that I wouldn't negotiate with them due to the simple fact that they drove down the pps of my company. I am very interested to see what Toland will do.

Do you know what kind of consequences the MM's could envoke upon Toland if he didn't help them and told them to go to the open market for the shares? I imagine that they could do something, but don't have any idea.
