Yes, the CEO is bubbling about the propectivity in their web cast, although he did have a longer timeframe. But, Ruby's response from IR sure rings a different tone. To say they would not PR this is just wierd, IMO.

And on third thought...didn't Noble voluntarily choose to pay higher than their original bid for the block, just so they could secure operation of the block?
And didn't they commit to drilling three wells in a year's time?
And designate a rig for that specific purpose?

Seems like a lot of work and investment for a "high risk" area.

Interesting comment ranchoe. You state

JDZ is high risk exploration... when XOM was willing to do absolutely anything to get operatorship of that block and 123 million was paid for sig bonus on block 1.

Remind me again how much XOM bid for block 1!! And we can see how aggressive their bidding was for other blocks too.

XOM apparently wanted things in the JDZ on their terms, and their terms only. Heck, they haven't even exercised their rights other than in block 1.

Seems we are missing a few points about the prospects in the JDZ, especially considering the beating we have taken in the share price.

Oh wait - the share price is all a conspiracy. I forgot.
