#5224 RE: mghamberlin #5223

I think Billy's term "generic" is now 'appropo' in describing all Hop-on phones and apparently the Zytec phone you found, MG. Did you notice if the Zytec phone cost more than $39, which, apparently, is the price of the Hop-on 1502. If Hop-on produces only generic phones, then its major competition has to be considered Sirus(?) and Tracfone(?) rather than Motorola and Nokia. So, to judge Hop-on as an investment, it has to be seen whether Hop-on can sell ITS 'generic' phones for less than 'other' generic distributors (retailers?). Thus far, it seems that they are the 'least expensive' GENERIC phones, because, I suspect, they have no debt. And they have no debt, I suspect, because investors, rather than creditors, are paying for them. Just my thought on the matter, dc... ps. this may be a 'positive' for Hop-on in that it has enabled them to sell their generic phones at a lower magrin... jmo, dc.

WTG, mg....looks like Hop-on is manufacturing these phones that Zytec is selling under their name......sorta like the soft drinks at Wallymart are really made by Cott, but sold under Wallymart's name....same thing here, these phones must be made by Hop-on, but sold under Zytec's name....Kewl!
