With current technology and treatments, you can only harvest enough stem cells from cord blood to be usefull for a small child, dependant on weight of the patient.
Not tracking. Your stem cells are saved at birth and they are there for YOU when you need them. Largest use has been against blood borne cancers (circa 70 diseases so far) but as research expands, so will use of these cells.
