...nylon was just another material...you guys are not saying pure spider silk is just another material...you are saying that it is some holy grail..that it will revolutionize industries...it will be used in pretty much EVERY industry to make almost everything...and it will do it all better...

I think that you and others are getting a bit overheated about the phrase "Holy grail".
Nylon was the Holy Grail of its day
Kevlar was the Holy Grail of the near past, its days are numbered.

Before nylon, the preminent fibers were wool and linen and cotton and silk.
They are still used today, but much of their market has been taken over by nylon.

Nylon DID "revolutionize industries...it WAS used in pretty much EVERY industry to make almost everything...and it DOES do it all better." (semi quoted as above)
And it made its creator, E.I.Dupont Nemours, a VAST amount of Money.
The same can be said for Kevlar.
And the same will be said for Spider silk and KBLB.
