i dont know what it is you are trying to prove with ancient examples...yes, pre world war 2 would be much too old as well...

lets face it...you wont find a real example...nylon was just another material...you guys are not saying pure spider silk is just another material...you are saying that it is some holy grail..that it will revolutionize industries...it will be used in pretty much EVERY industry to make almost everything...and it will do it all better...

the claims that are being made here about what kblb MAY be able to produce and how it can be used are so outlandish that there is no comparison to anything else...

im sure pure spider silk, if it can ever be produced in commercial quantities at a reasonable price, will have a market...but i have my doubts that that can be accomplished...but even if it can, all the claims about what it will be used for and what it will replace and how good it will be are hogwash...
