TXP’s Three Divisions Get New Digs in Texas POSTED: 05/01/2005
Richardson, TX--TXP-Texas Prototypes Inc. signed a five-year lease with TCIT Dallas Industrial, Inc., for 30,783 square feet of industrial warehouse space located at 1299 Commerce Drive, Suite B, Richardson, Texas in the heart of the Telecom Corridor.
The facilities will house TXP's three divisions: Texas Prototypes, Texas Photonics and Texas Packaging. The newly finished-out facility with be equipped with the latest laboratory and manufacturing equipment, including a 2,500 square foot cleanroom, for electronic, photonic and packaging assembly, test, and inspection, and will double TXP's present space. Initially, 40-50 people will be employed at this location. The space will occupy the same location as TXP's previous facilities, but will include an additional portion of the building which has been remodeled and upgraded to house TXP's three divisions.

"However, by providing fast and valued services, the short-run assembly and manufacture of prototype circuit boards, devices, and electronic products to communications and electronics companies, the company has grown steadily and established a solid reputation for excellence and customer service. We are proud of the company's success to-date and pleased that they have chosen to expand in Richardson."
Michael C. Shores, president and CEO of TXP- Texas Prototypes, Inc., stated, "The newly acquired facility will accommodate the company's current expanding business needs while providing continued growth potential for the company and all of its divisions."

TXP-Texas Prototypes, Inc. offers manufacturing services and supports quick-turn complex printed circuit board assembly prototyping, new product introduction, and pilot production of electronic assemblies for technology innovators and original equipment and contract manufacturers.
TXP-Texas Photonics offers prototyping services for optical subsystems and is an emerging optical assembly integrator with engineering and assembly services for design, manufacturability, and test. Along with the new Richardson facilities, TXP Photonics is supported by a new Gwangju, Korea facility sponsored by the Korea Photonics Technology Institute (KOPTI) which has provided over $100 million in Telcordia system level test.
TXP-Texas Packaging provides Advanced Packaging support such as design, development, characterization, and prototyping services. Its System in Package (SIP) support for advanced packaging includes multi-chip modules, molded chip packages, chip on board solutions, chip scale packaging, and other small form factor printed circuit board assemblies.
