Our concealed weapons permit DOES NOT allow one to be drinking and carrying. I wouldn't want to be shooting my foot off in a bar.
I don't think one should be allowed to carry and consume either, but just because you are in an establishment that serves, that should not prevent you from carrying.
Again, you think the criminals care what the law is?
If anything, the law makes bars and restaurants easier targets for the miscreants.
